Mike Ogborn, is an Advisor with Brookhaven Capital Partners.  Mr. Ogborn has over 38 years’ experience in the railroad industry, with a proven record of providing advice and counsel in such areas as regulatory matters at federal and state levels, strategic planning, management labor relations, and acquisition and disposition of railroad assets and properties.

Currently, Mr. Ogborn is the president of Ogborn Consulting Group, LLC, serving as Senior Advisor to the American Short Line & Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA), the Short Line Safety Institute, and various short line railroads, providing consulting services to the transportation industry in such areas as regulatory matters at the Surface Transportation Board, short line start-ups and acquisitions and sales, labor relations, strategic planning, and management training.

Prior to establishing Ogborn Consulting, Mr. Ogborn had a 30-year career as Executive Vice President and Managing Director at OmniTRAX, Inc. and OmniTRAX Canada, Inc., one of North America’s largest private transportation and railroad management companies. In that capacity, he was involved in acquisitions of short line railroads and related transportation entities, administrative functions, labor relations, and government relations and served on the Senior Leadership Team.

Mr. Ogborn is a member of the ASLRRA, serving in various leadership positions at it, including as Chair, and is the Chair of the Colorado Department of Transportation Department Freight Advisory Council. He was also appointed to the Rail-Shipper Transportation Advisory Council by the Chair of the Surface Transportation Board for a six year term. 

Mr. Ogborn serves on the vestry of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and on various ministries at it.
