Robert Jacobs, Principal, founded Brookhaven Capital Partners to invest across the spectrum of commercial real estate asset classes, both directly and with operating partners. Mr. Jacobs is a seasoned leader and investor, with a track record of successful investing over multiple assets classes, in multiple markets across multiple economic cycles.

Mr. Jacobs guides the firm’s overall strategic direction, including developing new investment strategies, sourcing suitable investment properties for acquisition, developing relationships with high quality operating partners and sponsors for co-investment programs, sources and maintains capital partner and lender relationships, and is involved in all major decisions of the firm and its investments.

Prior to forming Brookhaven Capital Partners, Mr. Jacobs was the CEO of Broe Real Estate, the Chief Investment Officer of The Broe Group, and was a member of its executive management team and Ownership Board. As CEO of Broe Real Estate Group, Mr. Jacobs was directly responsible for developing and executing investment strategies, acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, property management, leasing, capital raising activities and all operational activities within the group.

Mr. Jacobs has been involved in billions of dollars of acquisitions, dispositions, both directly owned and with operating partners, institutional programmatic equity joint ventures, separate accounts, and first mortgage and mezzanine debt issues. Mr. Jacobs has successfully invested in a diverse set of asset classes and risk/return profiles (core, core plus, value-add, opportunistic and distress) across multiple markets throughout the United States over multiple market cycles.

Mr. Jacobs earned a Masters of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University.
